| Time frame | 01 April 2008 - 31 March 2010 |
| Funded by | CEFIC |
| Short description | |
| Aim |
To further develop strategies that integrate knowledge on the chemistry and biological activity of compounds to interpret bio-monitoring data. |
| Methods |
Use of in vitro data on toxicity, metabolism, and toxicodynamics in physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling to quantity risk of exposure to chemicals. |
| Details |
Project involves collection of in silico and in vitro data on toxicity, protein binding, biotransformation and other kinetic parameters. Where necessary, in vitro experiments will be carried out to fill in existing data gaps. Effective concentrations in each of the assays are used as the starting point for modeling the exposures that would results in these effects. |
