IRAS Research, Environmental Epidemiology
In the Division Environmental Epidemiology research is conducted which focuses on environmental exposures in relation to health in human populations. The emphasis is on environmental and occupational exposures, more specifically chemical, biological and physical exposures. Some projects involve contamination of the food chain. Major research themes are:
- Fine particulate matter and respiratory and cardivascular mortality
- Microbial and allergen exposure and respiratory allergy
- Cancer and exposure to chemical agents
- Exposure to electromagnetic fields and health effects
- Epidemiology of infectious diseases
Projects
Most of the research is part of the RATIA program (see page on Research on the UU site of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine). All projects have a short description.
'Divisie Milieuepidemiologie' (
projectinformation in Dutch).
The 'Division Environmental Epidemiology' in cooparation with the 'Division Toxicology'.
The following list are projects of the 'Division Environmental Epidemiology'.
