| Short description | |
| Aim |
Analysis of reproductive health in european regions in relation to blood levels of persistent pollutants at various life stages. |
| Methods |
Analysis of animal data on causality of reproductive effects of persistent pollutants, analysis of human internal exposure data generated by analysis of blood samples, risk assessment on the basis of associations to be identified between exposures and reproductive health status. |
| Details |
Project is based on a biobank of 1000 serum samples taken in families at critical life stages, e.g. around birth in fathers, mothers and children, and in children later in life. Includes cohorts from Scandinavia, Ukraine, Poland and Greenland, with very different exposure history, allowing comparative analysis of exposure and reproductive health.
